Construction Parking

Due to the Milwaukee Street bridge demolition and construction, Milwaukee Street will be closed from Main Street to River Street from October 1, 2018 to end of December 2019. Access to Water Street from Milwaukee Street will not be allowed during the project. Water Street from Court Street to the north will remain open to traffic for access to businesses, trash/recycle collection, drop-offs/pick-ups, and private parking only. The public parking area along Water Street is not expected to be available for public parking during the project, as this area will be used by the bridge contractor for construction staging and river access.

The Venue does not have any private parking spots, so guests and vendors will need to familiarize themselves with the public parking that is available nearby. The largest lots available to the public and guests to The Venue are the lot behind the Senior Center, the South Main Street Lot, and the Town Square West Lot. Johnson Bank has generously allowed our guests to park in their parking lot during non-business hours for their business and parking is available on the weekends by the Courthouse. Now that Court Street is two-way traffic, additional parking spaces were put on the northside of the Court Street Bridge and Court Street. Additional street parking is available along East Milwaukee Street, St. Lawrence Avenue, and across the river on River Street. Any guest that are elderly or have handicap plates/stickers can park along the westside of Water Street along the construction fence on the weekends as there are not very many handicap parking areas nearby, but please be sure not to block the access gate area.
